After my canoe trip down the River of Golden Dream, I had a new understanding of Dr. Erickson’s canoe trip after his first polio attack at his 17. Paddling a boat is totally different from waling or driving on land. It is impossible to brake or make a sudden turn. I learnt to incorporate my paddling with the flow to make an optimal speed and direction.

My learning over the years was that I tried to direct… too much.
It took a long time to let things develop and make use of things as they developed.

在黃金夢之河的獨木舟之旅後，我對於艾瑞克森醫師在17歲小兒麻痹之後的獨木舟之旅有了新的領悟。划船和在陸地上走路或開車是完全不同的，不可能煞車也不可能急轉彎。我學著配合水流划槳，才能得到較為理想的速度與方向。
發展
過去這些年我學到的是，我嘗試了……太多的引導。事情的發展需要很長的時間，然後善用事情的發展。
